Common Issues & Solutions

Find solutions to the most frequently encountered problems.

App Won't Install

Symptom: Installation fails or app doesn't appear in Play Store.

Solution:

  • Ensure your device runs Android 8.0 (API level 26) or higher
  • Check that you have sufficient storage space
  • Clear Play Store cache and try again
  • Verify your Google account is signed in

Can't Sign In

Symptom: Login fails with "Invalid credentials" or similar error.

Solution:

  • Verify your email address is correct
  • Check your password (case-sensitive)
  • Use "Forgot Password" to reset your credentials
  • Ensure you have internet connectivity

Network Error

Symptom: App shows "Network Error" or fails to load data.

Solution:

  • Check your internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data)
  • Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data
  • Restart the app
  • If the issue persists, try again in a few minutes

Session Data Not Syncing

Symptom: Changes made on one device don't appear on others.

Solution:

  • Ensure all devices are connected to the internet
  • Check that all devices are logged into the same card room
  • Restart the app on all devices
  • Verify your internet connection is stable

Access Code Not Working

Symptom: Staff member's 4-digit PIN is rejected.

Solution:

  • Verify the access code is correct (4 digits)
  • Check if the access code has been rotated (monthly rotation is default)
  • Ask an admin to regenerate the access code
  • Ensure the staff account is active and has the correct role

Push Notifications Not Received

Symptom: Staff or players don't receive push notifications.

Solution:

  • Check that notifications are enabled for Cardroom360 in device settings
  • Ensure the device has internet connectivity
  • Check notification permissions (Android 13+ requires explicit permission)
  • Restart the app to re-register for push notifications

Camera/QR Scanner Not Working

Symptom: QR code scanning fails or camera doesn't open.

Solution:

  • Grant camera permission to Cardroom360 in device settings
  • Ensure adequate lighting for QR code scanning
  • Clean the camera lens
  • Try scanning a different QR code to isolate the issue

App Crashing

Symptom: App closes unexpectedly during use.

Solution:

  • Update to the latest version from the Play Store
  • Clear the app cache (Settings → Apps → Cardroom360 → Clear Cache)
  • Restart your device
  • If the issue persists, contact support with crash details
