Introduction: Marketing That Drives the Room

The Events module is a marketing and scheduling wrapper that packages a cardroom happening — a cash game or a tournament — into a publishable event. An event bundles together a schedule, a listing for the player app and kiosk, linked leaderboards, promotions, TV slideshows, calling campaigns, automated player messaging, and post-event ROI and reviews.

What an Event Is

An Event is not a tournament engine or a cash-game session runner. It links to those. What it gives you is one place to:

  • Announce and schedule a happening.
  • Control whether it's visible to players (and where it shows up).
  • Tie in leaderboards, promotions, TV slideshows, and calling campaigns.
  • Automatically message players at the right moments.
  • Review revenue, attendance, show-rate, and player feedback afterward.

The list screen is titled Events (and switches to Calendar in calendar view). An empty list shows "No Events" and "Create your first event to get started" with a Create Event button.

Creating an Event

Tap the + button on the Events list to open the New Event wizard. It has six steps — navigate with the Next Step button, or save your progress any time with the top-bar Save Draft.

Step 1: Identity

  1. Under Event Visuals, tap to upload an Event Banner.
  2. Under Core Details, fill the required Event Name and Description.
  3. Pick the Event Type: Cash Game or Tournament.
  4. For Tournaments, a Tournament Integration section appears — use Link Tournament Config to attach an existing tournament config (or choose None).

Step 2: Listing

Under Listing Intent, choose how the event appears in the player app and kiosk:

  • Marketing & Hype — high visibility; pushed to kiosk screensavers and app home.
  • Operational Only — low visibility; for internal tracking/logic.
  • Private/Invite — visible only to specific players or via direct link.

Then set the Visibility StatusPublished, Hidden, or Featured (pinned to the top of the kiosk and app home). If the event is invite-only, switch on Private Event.

Step 3: Schedule

Set Starts and Ends dates and times. Changing the start auto-adjusts the end to preserve the duration, and the screen shows a "Total Duration: X Days, Y Hours" banner. The end must be after the start — you'll be warned if it isn't.

Step 4: Ecosystem

Link existing content or create it fresh. Each card offers Link Existing and Create New:

  • Leaderboards — track player rankings (cash games only).
  • Promotions — rewards and high hands.
  • TV Slideshows — digital signage content.
  • Calling Campaigns — telemarketing drives for the event.

Choosing Link Existing opens a picker — confirm with Done and a counter chip shows how many are linked.

Step 5: Messaging

Switch on Enable Automated Messaging to notify players via SMS, WhatsApp, or Push Notification. Then pick the triggers you want:

  • Event Announced — notify when the event is published.
  • Event Starting — notify shortly before it begins.
  • Event Ending — notify before it concludes.
  • Event Cancelled — notify if it's cancelled.

Step 6: Review

On the Review step, tap Publish Event to make it Active, or use the top-bar Save Draft to keep working on it. If you've hit your plan's event limit, you'll see "Event limit reached. Please upgrade your plan."

Pro-Tip: Choosing Marketing & Hype as the listing intent automatically creates a linked calling campaign named "{Event Name} Campaign" on publish. Pair that with Featured visibility for flagship events, and use Operational Only for back-office events you don't want players to see.

Publishing & Managing

Open any event to see its Event Details with tabs for Overview, Sessions, Ecosystem, Calling Campaigns, and Player Reviews.

Lifecycle

From the Options menu you can Publish Event (move a Draft to Active) or Close Event (move an Active event to Completed). Only Draft or Active events are editable.

Editing & Deleting

  • Choose Edit Event Details to reopen the wizard in update mode with everything pre-filled.
  • Admins can choose Delete Event — the confirm dialog warns "This action cannot be undone. All linked configurations will be detached."

Activity Log

The top-bar history icon opens the Activity Log, recording events like Event Created, Details Updated, Status Changed, Content Linked, and Content Unlinked.

Calendar View

Toggle the list to a Calendar view with the Toggle View button to see events laid out by date at a glance.

Event Insights

The Overview tab is your post-event dashboard, with stat cards for Bookings, Campaigns, and Comps, plus sections for:

  • Financial Performance — gross rake revenue, comp expenses (acquisition cost), and net margin.
  • Hospitality & Attendance — total players booked, checked-in arrivals, and show-rate performance.
  • Player Feedback — rating distribution from player reviews.
  • Poker360 App Integration.

Quick actions here include Arrivals (the arrivals dashboard for the event) and Campaign ROI (per-event return on investment). The configuration card summarizes Starts, Ends, Event Type, duration, Messaging, and all Linked Content.

Player Reviews

The Player Reviews tab lets players rate the event — the prompt reads "Rate this Event" and "Tap to review this event". Use the rating distribution on Overview to see how it landed.

The Ecosystem

The Ecosystem tab and the Calling Campaigns tab manage everything you linked during creation.

Calling Campaigns

Tie telemarketing drives to the event with Create Calling Campaign, or manage a Linked Event Campaign. An empty view reads "No calling campaigns linked to this event."

Sessions

The Sessions tab lists Active Sessions and Past Sessions tied to the event (or "No Sessions Linked"). Tapping a session deep-links you into the running cash-game or tournament tooling where blind levels, rebuys, and busts are handled.

An Ecosystem Manifest

You can export an Excel Manifest of all the content linked to the event for sharing or record-keeping.

Pro-Tip: Start as a Draft, link your ecosystem content, then Publish Event only when the schedule and linked content are final. Editing a start time silently shifts the end to preserve duration, so always re-check the duration banner before publishing.
