Create promotions, run lucky draws, award points, and issue rewards to keep players engaged.

Introduction: Promotions That Pay Off

The Rewards module is your promotions engine. It lets a cardroom run promotional campaigns that issue rewards — coupons, gifts, tickets, monetary, points, lucky-draw entries, and more — to qualifying players, manage a reusable Rewards Library, and redeem issued rewards.

Promotion Types

Promotions come in many flavors. On Select Campaign Strategy (long-press a card for details), choose from:

  • Coupon
  • Coupon with Lucky Draw
  • Gift
  • Ticket
  • Monetary
  • Award Points
  • Points Multiplier
  • Bad Beat Jackpot
  • Hand of the Day

Running a Promotion

Step 1: Create the Promotion

  1. Open Rewards and go to the Reward promotions tab (screen: Promotions).
  2. Tap Add Promotion.
  3. On Select Campaign Strategy, pick the promotion type.
  4. Step through the wizard using Next Step: Basic InfoSchedule → type-specific step (e.g. Coupon, Gift) → Issue RulesMessagingReview.
  5. On Review, tap Publish Campaign. The promotion is saved as a Draft.

Step 2: Activate It

Issuing actions only appear when a promotion is Active:

  1. Open the promotion and tap its status chip.
  2. Choose Activate Campaign. The status shows "Status updated to Active".

The lifecycle is DraftActiveCompletedClosed, with Paused and Inactive along the way.

Pro-Tip: Keep promotions in Draft while you're still configuring. The Issue Reward, Award Points, Declare Bad Beat, and Award HotD buttons only appear once a promotion is Active.

The Rewards Library

Prize items don't reach players on their own — they must be linked to a promotion. Create reusable prizes first:

  1. Go to the Rewards tab (screen: Rewards Library) and tap Add Reward.
  2. Fill the Add Reward Item form and tap Save Reward Item ("Reward saved successfully").
  3. Back in your promotion, attach these library items to be won or issued.

An empty library reads "No Rewards Configured" / "Set up rewards that players can redeem."

Awarding Points

The Award Points promotion type is how staff manually credit loyalty points to a player.

  1. Open the active Award Points promotion and go to the Manual Awards tab.
  2. Tap Award Points and pick the player.
  3. In the Award Points sheet, enter Points to Award and an optional Reason. Tap Next.
  4. At Enter PIN to Authorize, enter your staff PIN. You'll see "Points awarded successfully." (or "Failed to award points." if something went wrong).

Use this for one-off rewards that don't fit into a formal promotion structure.

Issuing Rewards

For Coupon, Gift, Ticket, Monetary, and Coupon with Lucky Draw promotions, issue rewards while the promotion is Active:

  1. Open the promotion, go to the Coupons / Rewards tab, and tap Issue Reward.
  2. Pick the player (or use bulk issue, which shows "Evaluating eligibility...").
  3. Confirm. You'll see "Reward issued successfully!"

Special Promotions

  • Bad Beat Jackpot — on the Config tab, tap Declare Bad Beat.
  • Hand of the Day — on the Config tab, tap Award HotD.

Lucky Draws

For Coupon with Lucky Draw promotions, run the draw once the campaign has issued entries:

  1. Open the promotion and go to the Winners tab, then Play Lucky Draw.
  2. Open the Lucky Draw / Lucky Draw Configuration screen.
  3. Pick a selection method: Random pick, Flash pick, or Spin wheel.
  4. Confirm the winner. On success you'll see "Lucky draw winner info published successfully."

How Players Redeem

Reward redemption is a mixed player/staff flow. Players reveal and hold a code; staff punch it in and authorize.

Player Side

  1. The player opens My Rewards to see issued rewards, each with a status (Issued, Revealed, Redeemed, or Expired) and a redemption code.
  2. They tap an Issued reward and scratch the Scratch to Reveal card — the status becomes Revealed and the code is shown.

If the player hasn't earned anything yet, they'll see "No Rewards" / "You haven't earned any rewards yet."

Staff Side (Redemption)

  1. From the player's profile actions, open Redeem Reward.
  2. Enter the Redemption Code, or tap the Scan icon to scan it from the player's phone. Tap Next.
  3. At Enter PIN to Authorize, enter your staff PIN to confirm.
  4. The reward is marked Redeemed and the activity log records Reward Redeemed.
Pro-Tip: Every manual award and redemption requires a staff PIN, so make sure issuing staff have a PIN set before promotions go live.
