Introduction: Rewarding Your Players
The Loyalty module is your tiered membership program — tiers, benefits, and who belongs to them. It lets a cardroom build a tiered membership program, assign or auto-issue/revoke memberships to players, and track member engagement.
How Loyalty and Rewards Relate
Cardroom360 splits player rewards into two companion modules:
- Loyalty (this guide) — opens on the Memberships tab and has three tabs: Memberships, Types, and Benefits. It defines membership status (tier level) and the benefits attached to each tier.
- Rewards (see the Rewards & Promotions guide) — your promotions engine: coupons, gifts, lucky draws, and points campaigns that hand out actual prizes.
The connection: the Loyalty "Rewards" benefit category lets a player's membership unlock reward points, merchandise, or cashback, and the Rewards module's "Award Points" promotions are how players earn those points.
Building a Loyalty Program
Start by defining your tier ladder and the benefits available to each tier.
Step 1: Create Membership Tiers
- Open Loyalty and go to the Types tab (the screen reads Membership tiers).
- Tap Add Membership Type.
- Fill in Name, Description, Level, and pick the Icon Tint Color, Background Color, and Text Color that visually identify the tier.
- Tap Add. Repeat to build a full ladder (e.g. Silver → Gold → Platinum).
Step 2: Build the Benefits Catalog
- Go to the Benefits tab (screen: Benefit categories).
- Tap Add Benefit Category, then within a category tap Add Benefit Type to define specific benefits.
- Short on time? Use Publish Defaults to seed the standard benefit catalog in one tap.
Step 3: Enable Benefits per Tier
- Open a tier's details and go to the Benefits tab.
- Toggle the benefit categories/types on for that tier — for example Rewards, Hotel, Flights, Transportation, Monetary/Credits, Exclusive Privileges, Restaurant, or Entry Access.
Assigning Memberships
You can assign memberships manually or let the auto-issue rules do it.
Manually Assign a Membership
- On the Memberships tab (screen: Members), tap Assign Membership.
- The Issue membership screen lists eligible players — tap Issue next to a player.
- In the Add Membership sheet, choose the Membership type, Select Tier, set Instruction by, and toggle Is membership active. Tap Next to confirm.
Revoke or Edit a Membership
- On the Members list, tap the block icon next to an active member to revoke (the activity log records Membership Revoked).
- Long-press a tier, benefit category, benefit type, or membership to open its edit form.
- Open a member's Membership Details to see Issue Details and Usage History.
Automated Evaluation
Inside a tier's Manage tab you can define automatic rules so the right players earn or lose a tier without manual work.
- Under Auto-Issue Configuration tap Edit — set a criterion (hours played or points earned), a threshold, and frequency (Once or Everytime).
- Under Auto-Revoke Configuration tap Edit — set inactivity or revoke rules.
Cloud functions run on a schedule to evaluate pending memberships: players who meet a threshold are promoted, players who no longer meet requirements are moved down, and affected players are notified. Once configured, the loyalty program runs on autopilot.
Loyalty Stats
Track the performance of your loyalty program on the Loyalty Analytics screen (a tier's Stats tab):
- Total Members, Redemptions, and Value Extended metric cards.
- Redemption Frequency trend chart over the selected date range.
- Tier Distribution and Popular Benefits donut charts.
Use the date-range dropdown to focus on a specific period. An empty view reads "No Loyalty Data" when there's not enough history.
Pro-Tip: Build the tier ladder and benefit catalog before assigning memberships. Membership types define the levels and visual identity; the Benefits tab on each tier controls which benefit categories/types are available to that tier.
